The Hinds Head Bray

hhb1 hhb2 hhb3

The Hinds Head whose origins date back to Tudor England boasts a celebrated past with former patrons including the British Royal Family. The building has been offering locals and visitors to the village of Bray hospitality and refreshment for over six centuries. And now as this small rural village continues to attract visitors from all over the world as a gastronomic destination, The Hinds Head can once again take up the mantle.

The establishment is owned by chef Heston Blumenthal with chef Clive Dixon at the helm.  Blumenthal's internationally acclaimed three Michelin-starred Fat Duck restaurant is located just next door.  The menu at The Hinds Head offers a combination of traditional British seasonal cuisine and historic British dishes, the latter inspired by Heston's work with Food Historians including the Tudor  Kitchens at Hampton Court Palace.  This unique partnership of Clive Dixon's respect and love for British seasonal produce and Blumenthal's never ending research into the triggers of taste and flavour result in a menu of British favourites at their very best.

A separate bar menu offers lighter snacks, washed down with guest ales, and a carefully selected wine list.

The Hinds Head is a gastronomic destination, firmly placed beside its illustrious neighbours in the village of Bray. Above all however, the establishment remains a local village pub offering a warm welcome, unassuming friendly service and excellent food.
