Part of the privately owned, award-winning Merchant Inns group, The Lambert Arms is an outstanding 18^th century coaching inn, which re-opened last September after being caringly restored to an exceptional standard.  You will find a warm and friendly welcome, with open-fires, real ales and sensational food overseen by Michelin-starred executive chef, Rob Clayton. 

Our food is our passion.  We are passionate in our belief that it is possible to provide Michelin quality food in stylish yet informal surroundings at sensible prices with a strong focus on high quality, locally sourced seasonal produce.

Our menus, which change regularly throughout the year, feature imaginative modern British á la carte dishes, as well as traditional pub classics. We also offer mouth-watering bar snack menus and puddings that are quite simply, to die for!

The Lambert Arms has 44 stylish and spacious bedrooms, meeting & event facilities for up to 140 guests, a dedicated fitness centre, treatment rooms and extensive grounds.  We offer free Wi-Fi throughout.

Due to popular demand, Merchant Inns recently launched Merchant Inns Out (MIO), a highly imaginative and dynamic outside catering company.

Naturally inspired by food, drink and great service, the team at MIO aim to complement any function, from a wedding to corporate event or private party with a fun yet dedicated approach giving a seamless experience.
