Together with our members (there are over one million of them), we form a pioneering, innovative and passionate charity. We speak out for birds, other wildlife and wild places that need our help.

Our work is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a responsibility to protect animals and the environment. Animal populations reflect the health of the planet on which our future depends.

The need for effective conservation work is arguably greater now than ever before. Nature is under increasing pressure due to agricultural intensification, climate change, growing demands for water, expansion of urban areas and transport infrastructure, and the over-exploitation of the seas.

We believe it's time to put wildlife back into our countryside and our lives.
