We sell high grade, authentic, whole leaf Chinese tea. We have exclusive access to some of the best white, green, oolong, red and puerh teas available and buy direct from the farm in China and Taiwan, seasonally and in small quantities.
We do not use wholesalers nor do we rely on a couple of buying trips a year to select our stock. In China, our buyer lives locally and works with a 5th generation Tea Master. He buys direct from the small artisan producers whose entire harvest sells on the domestic market. This means our tea is bought at the fair market price and supports small, family-run enterprises. It also means that we know the provenance of every tea that we sell. Many are certified organic; all are grown on traditional farms without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilisers. In Taiwan we buy award-winning Pouchong green tea direct from Mr Xu, a family friend of 15 years
Jennifer Wood founded the company in 2007 after a decade of drinking only fine Chinese tea brought back from China and Mr Xu's farm in Taiwan.
